Flat Mug – Zambezi

Handmade stoneware mug by Kathryn Herbert, finished in her own Buckwheat glaze.

Kathryn makes from her small studio, developing her own glazes and throwing in short batches. Her work leans towards calm, soft forms that feel good in the hand rather than shout from the shelf.

This flat mug is wheel-thrown using buff stoneware and finished in Buckwheat, a glaze she formulated herself. Warm, grain-toned, slightly varied. Each piece carries small differences in surface and character.

It holds about 380ml, which makes it a generous everyday mug.
